Senior High Curriculum
Senior High Program (Grades 10–12):
Two Program Options to Develop Diverse International Competencies
International Program
- Program Goal
Centered on the British education system, this program aligns with IGCSE and A Level curricula. It develops students’ ability to study academic subjects and think critically in English, providing thorough preparation for applications to overseas universities and international higher education systems.
- Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:50 p.m.
- Curriculum Structure
All courses are taught in English, covering core academic subjects and Academic English. The curriculum integrates global issue inquiry, project-based learning (PBL), and Model United Nations (MUN) to strengthen critical thinking and academic communication skills. A range of thematic and experiential activity courses is also included.
- Program Features
The program focuses on international curricula and university preparation, adopting internationally recognized qualifications such as IGCSE and A Level. Students concentrate on their areas of strength by selecting required core subjects only, enabling precise and in-depth learning. Through experiential learning, the program opens clear pathways toward applications to top overseas universities.
Japan International Program
- Program Goal
Building upon internationally recognized qualifications such as IGCSE and A Level, this program additionally provides systematic training in Japanese language proficiency and competencies required for higher education in Japan, creating diversified pathways to Japanese universities.
- Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:50 p.m.
- Curriculum Structure
The program includes approximately 10 hours of Japanese language instruction per week, strengthening listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding. Required English courses aligned with IGCSE and A Level are maintained to ensure international language competitiveness. The curriculum further integrates PBL and interdisciplinary research projects across humanities, technology, and social issues, supporting both English- and Japanese-track university pathways.
- Program Features
Supervised by a team of Japanese education consultants, the program offers a professional and structured instructional framework to enhance students’ Japanese proficiency while maintaining IGCSE and A Level coursework. Students benefit from dual university pathways: they may apply to English-taught programs at Japanese universities using A Level results and English proficiency qualifications, or apply through Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) results and the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)—providing flexible options for both English- and Japanese-medium higher education.
G10–G12 Learning Outcomes
- Achievement of International Language Proficiency and Global University Readiness
By graduation in Grade 12, many students achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 or above. Japanese language proficiency is progressively developed to the JLPT N3–N2 level. These language competencies provide students with strong eligibility and competitiveness for applications to internationally ranked universities, including top global institutions.
- Development of Cross-Cultural Understanding and Global Perspective
Through global issues–focused coursework, students develop an understanding of international trends, analyze cross-cultural topics, and articulate global perspectives with clarity and coherence.
- Advanced Academic Literacy
Students strengthen logical reasoning, scientific inquiry, and academic communication skills, while developing competencies in reading comprehension, critical thinking, and academic writing.
