How Could Tainan’s Children Not Know Tainan’s Temple Culture?
This week, we stepped outside the classroom and guided students directly into Tainan’s streets and temples:
✨ At Wu Temple, they experienced the spirit of Guan Gong’s loyalty and righteousness.
✨ At Grand Mazu Temple, they discovered the belief in Mazu and Tainan’s maritime history.
✨ On Guohua Street, they tasted local delicacies, felt human warmth, and understood how streets carry culture.
Every child carried a learning sheet — not just “sightseeing,” but observing with their eyes, recording with their hearts, and questioning with their minds.
They began to realize:
Faith is not a distant legend, but a force rooted in everyday life.
Street food is not just delicious, but a continuation of history and culture.
A parent said: “This kind of learning is deeper than any test paper.”
A student said: “I’ve walked these streets countless times, but never knew they held so many stories… though it was really hot!”
