Why do our children need this way of learning?

At our institution, each child’s learning extends far beyond textbooks, guided by four key rhythms:
Dialogue
Children learn to organize their thoughts through language, to listen, to discuss, and even to bravely say, “I disagree.”
This is not merely a language lesson—it is a practice in critical thinking and understanding.
Game
Not just play for its own sake, but role-playing and collaboration within themed activities, learning rules, relationships, and what it means to “accomplish something together.”
Work
From planning to execution to reflection, children practice managing time and responsibility, making “active learning” a daily habit rather than an empty slogan.
Celebration
We celebrate each stage of the learning journey, making achievements visible and connecting culture with emotion.
Learning can be joyful, solemn, and deeply moving.
These come from the core spirit of the Jena Plan, and they have already become part of our school’s daily rhythm.
