Who says PE class has to be all about running nonstop?
At Tainan Futurelearn,
we don’t believe in pushing students to their limits—
we teach them how to find their rhythm.
Alongside energetic ball sports,
this semester we introduced something different: Yoga Class.
While many middle and high schools in Tainan still treat “health” as just another PE grade,
what matters more to us is helping students learn how to:
Deeply Relax
Release the tension and stress built up through long hours of studying
Regulate Emotions
Use breathing techniques to regain inner calm in high-pressure environments
Build Focus
When the body becomes steady, the mind naturally settles as well
After studying for long periods of time,
what students truly need is not just rest—
but a way to bring their bodies back into balance.
This is also an important part of both
International Education and the Jena Plan philosophy:
Learning does not only happen in the mind.
It also happens through the body, emotions, and daily life.
True growth is when students pursue excellence
while also learning how to understand and care for themselves.
