Four Seasons Program|Finding Our Way in the Forest
In the last stretch of signal range,
we opened an offline map, pulled out a compass,
and followed an old explorer’s map from 2001 —
searching not only for the trailhead, but also for direction.
The path was muddy, the sun relentless,
but when we finally reached the last quarter of the journey,
a reward awaited:
a steaming bowl of braised pork rice, fresh bamboo shoots, and sweet tofu pudding.
In that moment, every bit of exhaustion melted into laughter.
After lunch, some students filled out their learning journals,
others pitched tents —
the breeze carried both laughter and quiet focus.
That was when we understood:
learning isn’t about being led;
it’s about finding your own path, one step at a time.
Back in the city, the students were still full of energy,
exploring the streets under the hot afternoon sun.
Meanwhile, our editor (honestly) escaped into a café,
ordered an orange Americano,
and finally realized: “Ah… time to post this!”
Next Stop: Nov 1–2, Autumn Camp ‘Into the Tsou Mountains’
Challenge, learn, and live among the trees.
Because here at TFL, this isn’t a dream of education —
it’s our everyday reality.
