Tiangong Kaiwu: Sugar Frost & Sea Salt

Instead of imagining the world from inside a classroom,
we believe learning is richer when students step directly into the world itself.

This winter, we guided our students through Tainan—
walking through history, tracing stories from sugar to salt.

★ Visiting Shanhua Sugar Factory to see how industry truly operates
★ Exploring Shanhua Old Street, reading the layers of time embedded in the local landscape
★ Standing in the Anshun Salt Fields, understanding where salt comes from
★ Walking through Taijiang National Park, rethinking the relationship between people and nature

Our students weren’t just listening to guided tours.
They were observing, recording, questioning, and discussing every step of the way:

❓ Why was the sugar factory built here?
❓ How did salt fields shape local life?
❓ How can industry, environment, and people coexist?

This was not simply an outdoor field trip—
it was an experience designed to cultivate skills students can carry with them for life.

The Four-Season Curriculum exists only at Tainan Future Learn.
It is a required course that always takes students beyond the classroom,
always challenges their thinking,
and always leaves meaningful traces in their learning journey.
